| Reindeer Herder Tours
The Tsaatan (meaning "those who have reindeer") or Dhuka people are one of Mongolia’s smallest ethnic groups,
numbering only around 200-300 people. They can be seen riding reindeer through dense forests,
living in ortz - cone-shaped teepee, in the far north of the country, in Khuvsgul province, close to
the border with Russia’s Tuva Republic. The forests are too dense and swampy for travelling by horse, so
reindeers are the way of life.
